Kalaxis, Donald Rumsfeld, Market Data: the link

You may be wondering what the connection is between the above three terms.

Well, we are all familiar with the Donald Rumsfeld quote on the eve of the Iraq war in 2022:

“There are known knowns, things we know that we know;

and there are known unknowns, things that we know we don’t know

……but there are also unknown unknowns, things we do not know we don’t know.”

Donald Rumsfeld, US Secretary of Defense: 2002

It is this quote that most comes to mind when we at Kalaxis reflect on the market and reference data cost management projects we have undertaken.

So because of this we have launched the Kalaxis training program.

Why?

Because the nuances and complexities of certain data vendor products and services, “you know who I am referring to here”, mean that even the most experienced market data teams, struggle to keep fully on top of all the details.

And the consequences of this?

The on-going monthly cost of this category of market data is higher than it needs to be.

Designed for Market Data teams, Procurement and Business users, the training covers both terminals and data feeds.

The training workshops were trialled late last year with a leading European Central Bank, to great success. Delivered in either English or French, they are an effective way to reduce the frustrations of working with both Procurement and Users in your efforts to keep a lid on costs.

You might even be able to use up your training budget……
